ALLOCATION OF PLACES

All children who attend our 3 year old program will be offered a place in our four year old program for the following year.

Families on our waiting list will be contacted by letter mid-year to confirm their continued interest in a position with our kinder and to determine their preference for kindergarten sessions in the following year.

Places will be offered in July/August and families will be required to pay applicable levies to secure their child’s place.

Families will be invited to attend an information session (usually held in October) where they will receive an enrolment pack consisting of Enrolment forms, an Information booklet and general kinder information.

Orientation for the 3 year old program is a one and a half hour session at the kinder in November.

Further information on our enrolment procedure can be obtained from the full Enrolment Policy.

Enrolment of children with a birth date between 1 January and 30 April:lego

All children are eligible to access a funded kindergarten program of 15 hours per week for 40 weeks (or 600 hours) in the year before school. Families of children with birth dates between 1 January and 30 April have a choice about whether their child will commence school in the year they turn five or the following year, and therefore whether they commence kindergarten in the year they turn four or the year they turn five. Prior to enrolment, families with children who are born between 1 January and 30 April are advised to choose carefully, as children are only funded for one year of kindergarten before school (unless they are eligible for an Early Start Kindergarten grant or a second year of funded kindergarten).
